FAQ
Q.How to play?
A country is highlighted on the map. Type its name as fast as possible. The faster and more precise you are, the more points you score.
Q.How many players?
Solo or 2 to 8 players in multiplayer.
Q.What categories?
Whole world or by region: Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East, Oceania, Americas, and France (regions/departments).
Q.Do I need an account?
Solo needs no account. To host a multiplayer game you need an account: a code created by a guest can only be joined as a spectator. Joining another player's game works without an account.
Q.Is this a multiplayer geography quiz?
Yes, MapGuesser is a real-time multiplayer geography quiz. Create a game, invite your friends and race to name the countries highlighted on the map. Play solo to practice or with up to 8 players, free.
Q.What is a country guesser?
A country guesser is a game where you identify a country from its shape on the map. In MapGuesser's Map mode there is no multiple choice: a country is highlighted and you type its name as fast as you can, solo against the clock or with up to 8 players in real time.
